Right off the dining room is the powder room. It’s a bonus to have a second bathroom while sharing a space on vacation. Everyone has experienced the pain of having to wait their turn for one bathroom.
The Current Space

We plan to reuse the quartz countertop and faucet. Those materials are new (done by the previous owners) and fit well with my design goals. The condo was built in 1992. It was standard, in those days, for the countertop to be only 32” off the floor. Today, it is standard to be around 36”. Since everything will adjust up, I selected a light that points up as well. Keeping the mirror large and useable.

My coastal woodland vibe continues with plans for a custom painted vanity cabinet in this gorgeous green from Sherwin Williams. The nickel finishes sparkle and light bounces from the white door, mirror, and lighting. The dimensional frame on the mirror is its own work of art, but I am also including another piece of art titled Birch Spring Batik.
LVP, or luxury vinyl plank, is a popular flooring choice. It has a look of wood with lower maintenance and higher durability qualities. While real wood isn’t always optimal to use in bathrooms due to moisture, LVP is a recommended material. It’s also easier to replace than tile. I like how it will offer continuity with all the flooring on this main level.
